As a research-driven nonprofit organization, SPF believes HOPE is the brightest word in our dictionary. We have long placed our HOPE in research — and this year, that commitment gained powerful new momentum.

Energized discussions among researchers, board members, and HSP/PLS advocates have set the stage for a bold next step. With HOPE, we are building a dedicated HSP/PLS Research Network to accelerate discovery and clinical progress. Thanks to your generosity, SPF is now in a strong position to help make this vision a reality.

In 2024, SPF began a strategic collaboration with the Critical Path Institute (C-Path) to unite researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical innovators, and regulators in advancing therapies for HSP and PLS. As a global leader in regulatory science and data-driven collaboration, C-Path is helping SPF lay the groundwork for the tools, standards, and evidence required to accelerate clinical trials and regulatory readiness. Together, we share the vision of transforming promising science into an ecosystem for approved, accessible therapies — all made possible because you gave us HOPE.
