This isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s a movement powered by love, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that together, we can help find a cure for Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) and Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS)—two rare neurodegenerative diseases that affect mobility, independence, and quality of life for thousands of individuals and families, including our own.
We walk, we ride, we roll and we swim—not just for ourselves, but for every warrior whose life has been touched by HSP or PLS. And we ask you to join us on this journey.
In 2024, because of your continued support for events like this, the SPF community raised an incredible $1,597,571 in total donations, marking a 28.4% increase from 2023. That’s not just a number—that’s hope multiplied. It’s fuel for groundbreaking research, a step closer to more effective treatments, and a spark that keeps our advocacy alive.
As SPF President Greg Pruitt shared in this year’s annual report:
“We are making significant strides, not only because of the medical research we are able to fund, but also because of the new relationships we are forging in the medical, research and regulatory arenas.”
This year, the SPF is partnering more closely with leading institutions such as the NIH, FDA, and Critical Path Institute in Washington, D.C., to accelerate the journey from discovery to treatment. Your donations help fund this vital work—and your participation sends a powerful message of solidarity.
