As most of you reading this probably know, numerous members of our Culotta family have inherited the spastic paraplegia gene. Honestly, it's nothing any of us want. It mainly effects our legs starting with a leg drop, drag, tripping and sometimes falling, and progresses into our legs becoming very stiff and painful. Think of how we talking walking for granted...we can't. Many of us in the younger Culotta generation know about it now so we try and remain as active as we can to keep our legs as flexible as possible. It's not easy. We hurt. We don't want to be walking with canes, walker, or end up in wheelchairs, but that has been the prognosis as we get older.
