For those that have known me for a long time. when I was diagnosed 25 years ago, I walked normal just tripped more than I should. HSP is progressive, so now I use a wheelchair all of the time. My son also suffers from HSP. We have Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia which is a hereditary, progressive motor neuron disease closely related to ALS.
I am on the board of the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation and the research we are funding right now is getting close to finding treatments and possibly a cure. Matt and I really want to walk unaided again!
Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Please consider us. We have a group of anonymous donors again this holiday season that will double donations up to $330,000. Funds will be matched from today until January 15th.
