As a little kid I always wanted to be a dancer or an actress in the bright lights. However, I was always clumsy. Little did I know that HSP (SPG7) was already affecting my life.
Luckily, I chose a profession in that I taught what I so loved.
After 23 years of teaching, I retired because HSP had made it too difficult for me to be in the classroom.
I now spend all of my time and energy in raising awareness of my rare disease and fundraising for the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation so that one day a cure will be found!
