TAX NOTE: For the first time in many years, effective January 1, 2026 taxpayers who take the standard deduction rather than itemizing deductions will receive a tax break for charitable donations to qualifying charitable organizations, such as donations to Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, Inc. This “above the line” deduction is up to $1,000 for individuals or $2,000 for couples filing jointly. Taxpayers who itemize their deductions (including charitable donations) may continue to do so. Please consult your tax professional for details regarding the tax implications of your contributions as these statements do not constitute tax advice.
Those who give online will get an automatic email letter shortly after their donation. They will also get one sent the next January that will include all donations.
